It's an Elzie Patton kind of day (FYI - Elzie Patton is the name of Lucas's school.)

Here is a pic of Lucas and his classmates.  Lucas is holding the "S" on the top row at the end.

Elzie Patton is having a Winterfest this weekend the 25th of February from 10 am - 3 pm.  The address is 1003 Woodridge Place, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.  There will be games, inflatables, good food and a silent auction. The silent auction will be open from 11 am  - 2 pm with an admittance fee of $1.  Below is one of the many baskets up for bid.  Please come if you can and support Lucas's school!

Happy Valentine's Day!

DEAR GOD,

Fill my heart to overflowing
with Your Holy Spirit.
Help me to love You
above all else
with all my heart,
with all my soul,
with all my strength
and with all my mind.
Help me to love others
as I love myself.
Help me to be
patient and
kind.
Help me not to be
envious,
boastful,
proud,
rude,
self-seeking and
easily angered.
Help me to keep
no record of wrongs
and to never
delight in evil
but to always
rejoice in the truth.
Help me to
always protect,
always trust,
always hope and
always persevere.
Thank you sooooooo much
that Your love never fails.

AMEN

The way the schools have changed these days I figured Valentine's Day would no longer be celebrated with Valentine boxes for Valentines from each of the classmates.  I was thrilled when a note came home that Lucas's February project was to make a Valentine box for Valentine's Day.  This project was done by Lucas and his dad.  He's so proud of it and they had a great time doing it together.  Just wish I could have taken a picture of them making it but they were done before I came home from work.

Valentine's Day

Saw these ideas on Pinterest, of course, but here are my versions.

You are so loved frames. http://pinterest.com/pin/247416573248572989/

Lucas's Valentine treats for his class. The Valentines say I hope you have a Fan{tache}tic Valentine's Day. These are chocolate covered marshmallows with sprinkles. http://www.plumadorable.com/fan-tache-tic-valentines-cardsfree-printable/

After they eat the marshmallow the kids can take the mustaches on a stick home and play with them...

or they can take the mustache off the stick and attach it to their lips.  Here is Lucas trying it out for me.

Here is the 2 ingredient Strawberry fudge I made.  They had these heart plates at Target for real cheap.  You can't see it but they are sparkles in them.  So cute!  Very cheap gift. http://pinterest.com/pin/247416573248462292/

These are bookmark I made from paint color selectors.  They turned out so cute and I had fun making them.  I found the ribbon in the $1 bin at Target, the heart stickers were 99 cents also at Target, saying stickers I had already, and then the paint selectors were free at Wal-Mart.  Very cute and inexpensive gift.

Ever since discovering Pinterest I have printed tons of projects for Chad to do for the new house.  The frame around the mirror is like his 4th project.  He did an excellent job and I love it so much!  Really dresses up our master bath.  Here it is on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/pin/247416573248263412/

Christmas gift tags.  It's a paint color swatch from Lowe's.  So easy AND it was free. http://pinterest.com/pin/247416573248298607/

Christmas countdown I made for the boys.

I made two of these for our new neighbors.
